Broiled Herbed Halibut

Ingredients
  • 1 (2 pound) halibut fillet, rinsed and patted dry
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large lemon, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon unrefined sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons ground fennel seeds
  • 1/4 cup fennel leaves, roughly chopped
  • olive oil for greasing


Directions
  1. Grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
  2. Place halibut on the baking sheet, and coat with 2 tablespoons olive oil.
  3. Drizzle entire fillet with lemon juice then season with salt, pepper, garlic, basil, and fennel seeds.
  4. Broil halibut in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until opaque and easily flakes with a fork.
  5. Sprinkle fennel leaves over the top and serve.
