Ingredients
- 1 (2 pound) halibut fillet, rinsed and patted dry
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large lemon, juiced
- 1 teaspoon unrefined sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
- 1 tablespoon basil leaves, chopped
- 2 teaspoons ground fennel seeds
- 1/4 cup fennel leaves, roughly chopped
- olive oil for greasing
Directions
- Grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
- Place halibut on the baking sheet, and coat with 2 tablespoons olive oil.
- Drizzle entire fillet with lemon juice then season with salt, pepper, garlic, basil, and fennel seeds.
- Broil halibut in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until opaque and easily flakes with a fork.
- Sprinkle fennel leaves over the top and serve.
